Video Graphic Applications for Virtual Backgrounds
InfoComm 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada was the launching point for a completely new concept that provides photographers and videographers a clear alternative to the many issues that come with the use of green screen. Several trade show visitors agreed that this is green screen effects without the green and without the issues.
The Virtual Backgrounds process has been used by portrait photographers around the world for years, but now the new digital technology enables both photographers and videographers to easily create digital projected backgrounds for still photography, plus digital projected backgrounds for video production with a still projected background, and now moving video backgrounds for video production. It’s what we call Video-on-Video.
The new system has a host of advantages over traditional green screen:

The new system has a host of advantages over traditional green screen:
- Simple set up
- No green fringe
- No restrictions on clothing color
- No need to light the background
- No post processing (image extraction)
- Work in a much smaller space
- See your results live in the camera
- Output can be a live feed
- Backgrounds can come from smart phone or iPad
InfoComm – A Major Technology Show
When some of our suppliers learned about our new video applications for Virtual Backgrounds that offer an alternative to green screen, they strongly suggested that we just had to display our new products at InfoComm…a show that we had not heard of before because of our concentration on portrait photographers.
InfoComm is a huge show that brought more than 40,000 to Las Vegas in late June to see the latest in new communications technology. InfoComm is not attended by professional still photographers but is attended by videographers and communications management. The response to our clear alternative to green screen was very enthusiastically greeted.

Virtual Backgrounds – The Perfect Tool for New Generation Photographers
Most photographers today work only on location…just like every one of their competitors and the do it yourself amateurs. They don’t realize how much they could profit from using Virtual Backgrounds instead of just working on location. They don’t know that they could set up a world class studio in minutes in their living room, basement, and garage or just about anywhere and be infinitely more creative. Some set up their VB studio when a customer is expected and then turn the room back into normal use and no one even knows it was a studio minutes before. Even a large closet can become a high tech studio when using Virtual Backgrounds. At trade shows, we work in an area of only 6 x 8 feet!
Without Virtual Backgrounds, one is stuck using locations that every other photographer also uses. They are at the mercy of the weather and daylight. It is hard to be special if you are just like the others. Using Virtual Backgrounds breaks you free to provide your customers with a unique experience and ultimate variety.
.Think you don’t have space for a VB system? Think again. You can set up a Virtual Backgrounds based studio in minutes in your living room, basement, garage…and if necessary, put it away in a few more minutes. But while it is set up, you have infinite variety and infinite creativity…beyond anything you ever imagined. Just look at the thousands of sample images we show on our web site and Facebook.
Think it is too expensive? Think again. Virtual Backgrounds systems are available in a wide range of prices, especially now that the new digital systems have come out. Call for special pricing.
Think you won’t know how to use it? Think again. This is why we have our educational materials including our workshops
Now is the time to discover how Virtual Backgrounds can make you a more creative photographer who can better serve your clients and generate more profit. And it is the best way to do the new hybrid photography.
