Virtual Backgrounds did not have to travel very far to exhibit at TPPA Photogenesis since it was held at the Embassy suites on the south side of San Marcos Texas…home of Virtual Backgrounds.  The two day exposition brought a number of new photographers to view the many advantages of using the projected background process.  Most relatively new photographers have no awareness of the projected background process. They have only heard of green screen with its many issues.  They are also surprised to learn that projecting chromakey colors brings many advantages over straight green screen photography.

PRESENTATION ON DANCE PHOTOGRAPHY

The Virtual Backgrounds San Marcos classroom was used on the Friday before TPPA Photogenesis for a special “excursion" event for TPPA Photogenesis. Fifteen photographers attended the half day presentation by Jim Kryzak.  

Jim and his wife Deborah operate a dance school in McAllen Texas and they also do the photography for their students.  He brought three students from their dance studio to serve as subjects.

The group got to photograph the dancers not only in the Virtual Background studio but also in a real dance studio operated by another tenant in the Old Mill building as well as using the vintage Old Mill railroad cars as backgrounds. Dance photography can be highly successful and profitable if performed properly.

Photokina just concluded after drawing almost 200,000 visitors (yes, 200,000) and nearly 1,000 vendors from 42 countries.  The theme of the show was Imaging Unlimited with special emphasis on imaging technology.
